MTH Premier 20-21815-1 PDT special run SP bloody nose, dual control, passenger GP-9, 3 rail, Proto 3.0 This is the dual end control with "torpedo tubes" version. Most people dont know that the SP had 5 "torpedo tube" GP-9's. They were primarily used on the "del Monte" trains from San Francisco to Monterey, CA. There was no fueling facility at the end of the Monterey Branch in California, so then SP bought a hand full of the "torpedo" Geeps with their larger fuel tanks, so the run could be made from SFO to Monterey and back without the need to refuel. One road number SP dual control passenger GP-9 will be made with torpedo tubes, and one road number with dynamic brakes. The dynamic brake version is listed for pre-order separately.
